Information for Parents

HTFS Student Safety and Supervision Protocol
1. A staff person will be available to students whether in person or by phone from 8:30am until 3:10 pm on school days and during school functions after hours.
2. Students whose parents give signed consent can leave the school for pre-approved locations without a chaperone provided that they inform a staff person and sign out and provided that the student has emergency numbers and a cell phone or change for a payphone on hand.
3. Parents will be asked for their consent before students are to be unsupervised or supervised by non-staff at locations that are not pre-approved – this includes school trips and outings.
4. Staff reserve the authority to revoke any students privilege to be unsupervised if staff feel that the student may jeopardize the health and safety of self or others.
